Capabilities and Uses of the 12-Volt CTEK MXS 5.0 Charger
The CTEK MXS 5.0 Charger can be used with 12 volt lead-acid batteries(Wet/AGM).
A fully automatic 8-step SLA battery charger, this CTEK delivers select 0.8 A or 5 A to 12 V batteries from 1.2–110 Ah and is suitable for maintenance charging up to 160 Ah.
The charger is splash and dust proof, designed to protect vehicle electronics and non-sparking, reverse polarity protected and short-circuit proof.

The CTEK MXS 5.0 is an 8-stage battery charger that uses a patented charging process to safely and effectively charge batteries. The 8 stages are:
Desulphation: This stage removes sulphate from the battery plates, which can improve the battery's performance and lifespan.
Soft start: This stage gradually increases the charging current to prevent the battery from being damaged.
Bulk: This stage charges the battery at a high current until it is approximately 80% charged.
Absorption: This stage charges the battery at a lower current until it is fully charged.
Analysis: This stage analyzes the battery to determine if it can hold a charge. If the battery cannot hold a charge, it may need to be replaced.
RecondITION: This stage is used to recondition deeply discharged batteries. It increases the charging voltage to create controlled gassing in the battery, which helps to mix the battery acid and restore the battery's capacity.
Float: This stage maintains the battery's voltage at a constant level.
Pulse: This stage is used to maintain the battery at a high state of charge. It sends short pulses of current to the battery to keep it topped off.

HOW TO USE CTEK BATTERY CHARGER?
To use a CTEK battery charger, follow these steps:
1. Connect the red clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the battery and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
2. Plug the charger into a wall outlet.
3. Select the appropriate charging mode for your battery type.
4. Press the start button to begin charging.
5. The charger will automatically turn off when the battery is fully charged.

Shipping Policy:
We have worked with UPS over the years to get our customers the lowest possible shipping rates for both ground and expedited shipping methods. All of our shipping rates are pulled through a live rate calculation system directly from UPS’s servers - High-Tech Battery Solutions does not add anything to the rate pulled from our corporate UPS account, what we get charged the customer gets charged.
Our primary package carriers used are UPS, USPS, and FedEx.
All orders placed before 2 P.M. EST Monday through Friday will get shipped out the same day they are received unless otherwise state on the product page of the ordered item. Expedited shipping services are available for a majority of our products, exclusions do apply for conventional style motorcycle batteries and primary lithium products.
We will accept returned items that have been purchased directly through High-Tech Battery Solutions, Inc. that fall within 30 days time of delivery. All customers looking to return a product must have Return Authorization Form issued to them from a High-Tech Battery Solutions, Inc. staff member. Items that are returned without the correct documentation are not guaranteed a refund.
The customer is to ship the item back to High-Tech Battery Solutions, Inc. at their own expense using a delivery service of their choice. During the RMA request process we do offer our customers the option to use our commercial shipping rates to return the order. Using our commercial shipping rates will guarantee the lowest possible UPS rate which we can then deduct from the customers total refund.
Once the product arrives at our facility it will be inspected to ensure the quality, both in terms of performance and physical appearance (can’t take back a beat up item). Once the product has been confirmed to be in new condition, a refund will be issued for the price of the battery.
